Tips For Getting Started

1.Address Fear and Discuss

Daniel says that the key to success is to address your child’s fear of water and swimming right away.

2.Create Verbal Cues

You can create some verbal cues together to use once you are in the water so there are no surprises.

3.Use Time and Consistency

Set up a time to teach your child on a regular basis.

4.Make It Fun

To make teaching times more fun, make sure you disperse play time along with teaching. This can be splashing in the water, playing games, etc.

5.Award

Daniel also recommends creating an award system.

Then, just follow the steps in the video!

It may be helpful to watch each step of the video and then practice as you go. You can always come back to review when needed.
